Learn how to disable CPU core parking in Windows 11. In this example, I show you how to identify if your CPU cores are being parked, and how to use the registry to modify a key to stop them going into a parked state.

How to disable CPU core parking in Windows 11

  1. Open the registry editor.

  2. Navigate to:

    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings
    
  3. Right-click the PowerSettings folder and search for dec35c318583.

  4. Double-click ValueMax and change the value to 0.

  5. Restart the computer.

CPU core parking is now disabled and the cores should no longer be getting parked.
